Clyde Space HQ
Based at Skypark in the heart Glasgow, our 10,000 square foot facility boasts a 3,000 square foot Class 100,000 cleanroom and 2,000 square feet of electronics labs. These facilities allow Clyde Space to both manufacture and test in-house by our ESA-qualified technicians.
At Clyde Space, we ensure that all production and test adheres to a strict quality control policy. We pride ourselves on our ability to blend the quality processes and reliability from the traditional space industry with the efficiency and affordability required in the small satellite sector.
We operate a strict quality control system throughout our business. In addition to high-quality hardware builds, our technical review process ensures that all new hardware or software developments, without exception, are subject to a strict peer review process at key project milestones.
We know that quality is the cornerstone of our business, that’s why our ‘clean room’ and component stores are fully ESD controlled and strictly monitored. We have an in-house thermal test chamber suitable for performing thermal cycling tests on both EM and flight hardware, which can cycle over a temperature range of -70°C to +180°C.
For more strenuous tests we have a number of trusted test-houses located in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK.
In line with Clyde Space’s continual growth, our facilities have had to expand considerably over the years to keep up with demand.
Our headquarters have recently had to expand further by an additional 6,500 square feet to accommodate a new clean room for and dedicated environmental test facilities.
